The Kiser Edge™ has launched a revolution in how horse arena drags prepare arena footing/dirt. The old way of dragging an arena is to loosen the footing from the top surface down, but the new way is to loosen from the base up! The Kiser Edge™ loosens the whole profile of the arena, with a horizontal blade similar to a sod cutter. This “profile blade” loosens 100 percent of the arena footing with every single pass. With the Kiser Edge™ there are no more ridges underneath the surface that can cause your horse to twist an ankle… make it stumble… or stop it from sliding. A smooth and consistent base is the result with every pass. Designed by Bob Kiser to deliver Kiser brand quality results for the compact tractor.
Why The Kiser Edge™?
When it comes to the safety, soundness and performance of your horses... Footing is Everything! And today when proper arena maintenance is the topic there are no better names in the business than Kiser Arena Specialists™ and ABI Equine™. Together they have launched an arena revolution and it’s changing the way the world prepares and maintains arena footing.
This revolution all started with the Kiser Edge™. A new and innovative arena drag by Kiser Arena Specialists™. Simply put the method of preparing arena footing used until now just isn’t good enough anymore.
Instead of ripping through footing with perpendicular loosening teeth the Kiser Edge™ loosens the whole profile of the arena, with a blade similar to a sod cutter.
The old way of dragging is to loosen from the surface down, but the new way is to loosen from the bottom up!

Revolutionary Design:
The Kiser Edge™ is a radical change in arena footing maintenance.
Most arena drags loosen the ground from the surface down; the Kiser Edge™ loosens the ground from the bottom up!
This truly is the "Perfect" arena drag for disciplines where a perfectly smooth base is critical.
Push / Leveling Blade:
The leveling blade pushes the arena footing ahead filling in holes and hoof prints.
This smoothes out the arena and leaves level ground for the stabilizing wheels; keeping the Edge from bouncing and leaving a “wash board” effect behind.
You will notice that the leveling blade is angled so that if it picks up too much material the footing simply flows over the top of the blade thus eliminating creating big holes in the arena.
Stabilizing / Gauge Wheels:
The stabilizing wheels are the most critical part of the Kiser Edge™ design. Without substantial wheels a three point tool tends to “dip” in and out of the footing making most three point tools dangerous to a base material.
But the stabilizing wheels on the Kiser Edge™ allow the operator to set the depth of the profile blade and keep the depth consistent without going into the base.
Profile Blades:
The “profile blades” are at the heart of the Kiser Edge™. Because of this unique concept the desire to loosen footing without creating ridges can finally be realized.
Similar to a sod cutting blade the new “profile blades” cut parallel to the arena grade.
So, instead of “ripping” through footing with perpendicular teeth these “profile blades” will slice through the footing in quarter inch increments and will loosen the footing as deep as seven inches.
Now with every single pass of the tractor the Kiser Edge™ will be loosing 100% of the footing! This saves an enormous amount of time on the tractor because the driver no longer has to make two or three passes over the same footing with different patterns!
Floating Comb / Rake:
The final point of contact is the adjustable floating comb allowing for customizable pressure to be applied depending upon the consistency of the footing material.
Every footing is different but by adjusting the comb you can get the same results.
Breaks up dirt clods and produces a beautiful signature finish.
Constructed of 1/2" wear resistant hardened steel
Superior Manufacturing:
ABI products are manufactured in a 700,000 sq./ft. state-of-the-art facility employing hundreds of qualified U.S. workers. Steel is brought in by rail, stored indoors, cut and milled to specification and moved about the facility via massive overhead programmable cranes. These overhead cranes bring the materials to the welding stations that employ both robotic and conventional welding. The steel components then go through a state-of-the-art cleaning with 2 acid washes and sand blasting. The completed components are then given a architectural grade powder coating. Assembly is then completed by specially trained workers. All this is completed in-house so quality is controlled throughout manufacturing.
Architectural Grade Powder Coating:
Not all powder coating processes are created equal, but you can rest assured that the multi-step powder coating process used on ABI products is second to none. Proper material selection, roofed-storage, innovative cleaning & preparation, state-of-the-art equipment, and industry leading "trade-secret" techniques enable ABI to offer a true architectural grade powder coating on all products.
The benefits of this architectural grade powder coating includes better rust resistance, a fantastic finish and a longer service life.
UV inhibitors are applied to resist the damaging affects of the sun.

5 Years Peace of Mind:(Extended Warranty)
ABI offers the most comprehensive suite of both standard and optional investment protection. The standard 1 year warranty and 30 day risk free trial are included with each product investment.
The optional extended warranty increases coverage to a complete 5 years and offers additional bent and/or damaged frame replacement benefits.
For certain hard packed types of footing, that have a lot of clay or stone fines, it may be necessary to temporarily replace the Edge’s leveling blade with the optional ripping teeth.
These teeth will break up the hardest footing allowing the “profile blades” to easily slice through the ground.
Once the compacted footing is loose simply remove the ripping teeth and put back the leveling blade.
If you regularly groom your arena you will not have to use the ripping teeth very often.
Easy to replace bolt on tips only $8.50 each!
Rail / Wall Blade:
The rail blade attaches to the frame with a large pin. The shovel cuts into the built up material along arena walls and rails and pulls it away, saving the user time and effort.
