Kiser SpeedMaster® is a 3-point tractor arena drag designed from the ground up to be the absolute best speed event drag on the market today. Designed by Bob & Jim Kiser for barrel racing, roping and general rodeo events, the Kiser SpeedMaster® offers the ultimate in footing maintenance control for running faster times and helping to protect both horse and rider from injury. The double row of off-set HYDRAULIC RIPPERS provides a variable shallow-to-deep ripping action. Unlike the competitors fixed grading blades, the laser ready HYDRAULIC LEVELING BLADE of the Kiser SpeedMaster® moves independently from the frame so the operator can level an arena without lifting the 3-point hook up of the tractor! The GROOMING RODS condition every inch of the footing to ensure consistency. The manually-adjustable ROLLING BASKET stabilizes, breaks up clumps of footing, resets the arena below the surface and yet keeps the top few inches loose to give the horses the "grip" they need for speed. The manually-adjustable SMOOTHING BLADE provides the final finish by smoothing out the top surface and filling in any little holes or low spots. This leaves the arena with a beautiful and pristine finish. Unlike every other speed drags on the market, every component is independently adjustable from the frame! Independent Component Design For Outrageous Control:
Unlike every other 3-point drag on the market, every component of the Kiser SpeedMaster® is independently adjustable from the frame! The scarifiers and grading blade are hydraulically controlled and the grooming rods, rolling basket and smoothing blade are manually controlled. This enables the operator to allow the scarifiers, grooming rods, rolling basket and smoothing blade to continue conditioning the footing material as the operator uses the grading blade to cut high areas and fill low areas of the arena. Unlike competitors tools, with the SpeedMaster, the operator does not lift the 3-point of the tractor to grade. This allows all the ground engaging components to stay in the ground evenly conditioning the footing, even while grading. Independent components is an exclusive feature.
Hydraulic Ripper Scarifiers:
The double row of off-set hydraulic rippers provides aggressive ripping action to take on the toughest of arena conditions. Depth is controlled hydraulically, from the seat of the tractor, with a range from 0 - 7". The rippers are closer together than other drags to minimize ridging and are in two off-set rows to allow for greater material flow when ripping deep. These rippers will go deeper and out perform any other arena drag on the market.
Unlike competitors fixed grading blades, the laser ready hydraulically controlled grading / leveling blade of the Kiser SpeedMaster® moves independently from the frame so the operator can level an arena without lifting the 3-point hook up of the tractor! This enables the operator to grade material while allowing the footing conditioning components to remain in the ground doing their job. When grading with competitors equipment when the 3-point is lift up, to drop material, the conditioning components are also raised. This causes areas of unconditioned footing all around the arena. The independently controlled leveling blade of the Kiser SpeedMaster completely eliminates this problem and allows for an optional laser system without the need for a trailing wheel system off the back. This is a monumental improvement in 3-point arena drag tools and is exclusive to the Kiser SpeedMaster.
Double Row Of Off-Set Grooming Rods:
The 2 rows of off-set grooming rods conditions every inch of the footing to ensure a ridge free consistency. The rods are 1" in diameter and easily replace with one lynch pin. No tools required. The depth of the grooming rods is adjusted with 2 manual jacks, on either side of the drag. This adjustment allows for variable depth control from 0-4" as well as adjustments to compensate for wear.
Rolling Basket:
The rolling basket stabilizes, breaks up clumps of footing, resets the arena below the surface and keeps the top few inches of footing loose to give horses the "grip" they need for speed. This basket is NOT a standard lightweight basket found on many competitors tools that can bounce, clog and plow rendering them ineffective. This is also NOT a roller or packer found on many tools that pack with material and can only roll the top surface. Both the standard basket and roller/packer, found on competitor's, equipment have fundamental flaws that this design corrects. The Kiser SpeedMaster rolling basket has 10 twisted 1" rods. Unlike competitors straight rods, the SpeedMaster's rods are twisted and keep the basket rolling smoothly, preventing the basket from clogging, bouncing and plowing material. This design also allows the basket to firm the footing 1 - 2" below the surface, not on top, giving the rider the ideal amount of cushion and stability.
Smoothing Blade:
The, manually adjustable, smoothing blade provides the final finish by smoothing out the top surface and filling in any little holes or low spots. This leaves the arena with a beautiful and pristine finish. This blade may also be remove if the operator prefers the rolling basket finish.
